UNESCO and ICANN Open Call for Proposals for Universal Acceptance Day 2027

Building on the collaboration to advance a more inclusive, multilingual and accessible Internet, UNESCO and the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) are opening a call for proposals for Universal Acceptance (UA) Day 2027. Partners are invited to propose activities to be held from 25 March to 30 May 2027.

UNESCO awards 2026 Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education to transformative projects in Morocco and Peru

The 2026 UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education has been awarded to two remarkable initiatives: ‘Project Soar in a Bag’ in Morocco and the ‘Girls with Opportunities (GWO)’ project of CARE Peru.

Access to reliable information in the digital age

UNESCO convenes regional dialogue on information integrity and media and information literacy.

More than 180 participants joined a UNESCO regional roundtable to discuss how access to information authorities in Latin America can respond to new challenges posed by disinformation, artificial intelligence and algorithmic systems.
